# Share your site as a template

> Offer your live Launchfolio site to the template gallery, with a “Designed by” link back to you. What gets copied, the review, and how to take it out again.

Other people can start their own site from yours. You choose to share it, and you can take it back at any time.

## Before you start

- Only live sites can be shared: paid for, approved and published.
- Only you, the site’s owner, see this setting.
- Find it in your dashboard: open **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar, then the **Template gallery** tab.

If your site isn’t live yet, the card says **Publish your site first. Only live sites can be shared as templates.** See [Publish your site](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/publish-your-site).

## Send your site for review

1. **Read the agreement and tick the box** — The button stays greyed out until you tick it.
2. **Press **Send for review**** — The card now says **Waiting for review.** with the date you sent it.
3. **We look at it** — We add it to the gallery or turn it down with a short note. Either way, we email you.

> **Good to know:** You can send a request up to 3 times a day for each site. After that you see **You’ve sent this a few times today. Please try again tomorrow.**

## What goes into the template

- People who start from the template get a copy of your content, then change it to their own. Your site doesn’t change.
- The **Designed by** link shows on the template’s card in the gallery and above its preview, but only while your site is live.
- Later edits to your site don’t change the template. To update it, take it out and send it again.

## When we answer

| Answer | What you see | What you can do |

| Approved | **Your site is in the template gallery.** We also email you: “Your site is now a template”. | Press **See it in the gallery**, or open the [template gallery](https://www.launchfolio.live/templates). |
| Turned down | **We couldn’t add it this time.** with our note. We also email you the note: “About your template request”. | Make changes if you like, tick the box again and press **Send it again**. |

## Cancel or take it out

| **Cancel the request** | While it’s waiting for review | We won’t review it. You can send it again later. |
| **Take it out of the gallery** | After it’s approved | It disappears from the gallery straight away and the copy of your content is deleted. |

Sites people already made from your template stay as they are.
