# Colours, language and privacy

> Change your site’s colours for light and dark mode, choose the language visitors see, add a visitor password, and turn the contact form on or off.

Colours and language live under **Design settings** in your dashboard’s sidebar. Privacy and the contact form live under **Settings**, at the bottom of the sidebar. They change your whole site, not one section.

## Edit your site header

Open **Settings**, then **Features**, and find **Site header**. Choose whether the header appears on the standard layout or custom designs. Leave **Header name** empty to use your profile name.

Rename, hide or move section links with the arrow buttons. Custom designs link to rows. You can also edit the header in the Designer’s page settings when nothing is selected. On phones, visitors open the menu to see links and change the appearance.

> **Good to know:** These changes save to your draft. Press **Publish** when you are ready to show them to visitors.

## Page colours

1. **Pick a palette** — Pine, Ocean, Plum, Rose, Amber or Graphite. Pine is where every site starts.
2. **Choose which version to change** — Next to **Colours for**, pick **Light version** or **Dark version**.
3. **Fine-tune the five colours** — Primary, Secondary, Background, Cards and Text.
4. **Changed your mind?** — Press **Reset to** and the palette’s name to undo your tweaks.

Visitors switch between your light and dark versions with the moon and sun button in your site’s top bar, or inside the menu on phones. The preview shows your changes next to what is live now.

## Site language

Under **Site language**, choose English or العربية next to **Your site’s words are in**. This sets the words visitors see around your content: headings, buttons and the contact form. It doesn’t translate what you wrote.

> **Tip:** The editor itself follows your own language choice. So you can edit in English while your site is in Arabic, or the other way round.

## Keep your site private with a password

1. **In **Settings**, open the **Privacy** tab**
2. **Turn on **Require a password to view my portfolio****
3. **Type a password and press **Save password**** — At least 8 characters. This is not your sign-in password.

It works straight away, without publishing. Visitors see **This portfolio is private. Enter the password to view it.** You and the administrator skip that screen.

## Contact form and messages

- In **Settings**, on the **Features** tab, **Show a contact form** is on for new sites. Visitors send you their name, email and a message.
- Under **Contact form words**, change its **Title**, **Intro line** and **Button text**. Leave a box empty to keep the default wording.
- Messages arrive under **Messages** in your dashboard’s sidebar. Press **Reply by email** to answer from your own email.
- **Show quick-contact buttons on phones** adds a bar with call, email and résumé buttons on small screens.
- Turning the contact form on or off, and changing its words, takes effect when you publish.

> **Good to know:** Each new message also shows in the bell at the top of the dashboard and the editor, and we email it to you. Don’t want the email? Turn it off on the **Emails** tab. See [Notifications and new messages](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/notifications).

## Billing

The **Billing** tab in **Settings** shows your plan (when it started and when it renews), your next bill, a **Renew now** button and every payment for this site. See [Billing and renewals](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/billing-and-renewals#billing-tab).

## Share as a template

Once your site is live, **Share as a template** lets you offer it to the template gallery. See [Share your site as a template](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/share-as-template).
