# Your dashboard

> After you sign in, your dashboard shows your site’s visits and messages, and a sidebar to edit content, change the design, read messages and change settings.

Once you have a site, signing in opens your **Dashboard**, at `launchfolio.live/dashboard`. New owners choose a name first. Your dashboard shows how your site is doing and where to go next.

## The sidebar

| In the sidebar | What it opens |
| --- | --- |
| **Dashboard** | How your site is doing: visits, messages and your link to share. |
| **Simple editor** | The editor, for your words, photos and sections. |
| **Pro designer** | The Designer, for your layout. See [Design your own layout](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/designer). |
| **Design settings** | Your colours and the language of your site. See [Colours, language and privacy](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/site-settings). |
| **Messages** | Everything people sent through your contact form. A number shows how many you haven’t read yet. |
| **Version history** | A copy of your site from every time you published. See [Publish your site](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/publish-your-site#content-versions). |
| **Add-ons** | Extras for the site picked at the top, like your own domain or animations. Each one is for that site only. See [Use your own domain](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/custom-domain) and [Animate your page](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/designer#animations). |
| **View live site** | Your published site, in a new tab. It sits at the bottom, above your name. |
| **Settings** | Sharing, search, privacy, billing, emails and more. Also at the bottom, above your name. |

> **Tip:** Changes on **Design settings** and **Settings** save on their own. While some aren’t live yet, a bar at the top says **Saved, not published yet**, with a **Publish** button right there.

At the very bottom are your name and the sign-out button. On a phone, the sidebar is hidden: press the menu button at the top to open it.

## Switching sites

The header at the top shows the site that’s open: its name, its label (like **Live** or **Not published**) and its address. Your first site is open to start with.

1. **Press the site in the header** — A list of all your sites opens.
2. **Pick a site** — Every page then shows that site: the dashboard numbers, **Design settings**, **Messages**, **Version history** and **Settings**.

When you’re able to add another site, the same list has **Book another address**. See [Add another site](https://www.launchfolio.live/docs/en/more-sites).

The header also shows whether everything is saved, and has **Preview** (the eye), **Publish**, the bell, and the language and light/dark buttons. Changes you make in **Design settings** and **Settings** save on their own, and go live when you press **Publish**.

## What the Dashboard shows

- Alerts at the top when something needs you, like a payment, your site’s review or a renewal that’s due. They’re the same notes you see in the editor.
- A note when your site isn’t live: **Your site isn’t published yet**, or **Some changes aren’t live yet** when you have edits nobody can see. Press **Publish** at the top to fix it.
- **Visits today**, **Visits, last 7 days**, **Visits, last 30 days** (with how much that changed compared with the 30 days before) and **All visits**.
- **New messages**, with **Read them** to jump to **Messages**, and **Messages, last 30 days**.
- **Visits over the last 30 days**: a chart, one point per day.
- **Share**: your link to copy, and a QR code. Press **Download QR code** to put it on a business card or poster.

## What counts as a visit

- One visit per person, per site, per day. Opening your site ten times in a day counts once.
- Only while the site is published.
- Never you: your own visits to your site, signed in, don’t count.

> **Good to know:** We only count visits. We don’t record who visited, where from, or on which device. See the [Privacy Policy](https://www.launchfolio.live/privacy).

## Getting around from the editor and the Designer

In the editor and the Designer, the top-left corner has a menu button (three lines). It opens the same sidebar over the page, so you can jump anywhere. On wider screens, a trail next to it shows where you are.

| Where you are | The trail |
| --- | --- |
| The editor | **Dashboard** › your site’s name › **Simple editor** |
| The Designer | **Dashboard** › your site’s name › **Pro designer** |

Press **Dashboard** or your site’s name to go back to the dashboard. Your changes are saved first.
