About these terms#
Launchfolio is run by Hadi Mahmoud Abdulkareem Irshaid, an individual based in Nablus, Palestine (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use launchfolio.live, create an account, or publish a site with us.
By creating an account or paying, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Launchfolio.
Who can use it#
You must be at least 16 years old and able to make a binding agreement where you live. If you use Launchfolio for a business or organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your account#
- You sign in with your Google account (or, if we set up your account for you, with a username and password we give you).
- Give us true details and keep them up to date, especially your email address — it’s how we reach you.
- Keep your sign-in safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- One account gives you one site at one address.
What you get#
With a paid plan you get a personal website at launchfolio.live/your-name, with our editor, designer and templates, file uploads, a contact form for your visitors and simple visit counts. We may improve, change or remove features over time. We won’t take away the core of what you pay for — a site at your address that you can edit — while your plan is paid and the service runs.
Price and payment#
- Your first year. Your first year costs $30 (USD), which is $2.50 a month, billed yearly. When we run a sale, the lower price is for the first year only. Your year starts on the day you pay. If you start with a free trial, the trial doesn’t count towards your year.
- Every year after. Each renewal costs $15 (USD) for one more year, which is $1.25 a month, billed yearly.
- Custom domain. Showing your site at your own domain (for example yourname.com) is an add-on that costs $10 a year. If you add it partway through a year, you pay up front for the months left until your renewal date, and part of a month counts as a whole month. After that it renews with your site. If it ends, your domain is taken offline; your site keeps working at its own address.
- Animations. Letting visitors see the animations you make in the designer is an add-on that costs $10 a year. You add it, pay for it and renew it the same way as the custom domain. If it ends, your site keeps working and shows the same page without animations.
- Add-ons are per site. Each add-on is for the one site you add it to, and renews with that site.
- You pay each renewal yourself. Nothing is charged automatically. You renew from your account, in the same ways you can pay the first time. Paying early never loses days: your new year starts when the old one ends. If you pay after your renewal date, your new year starts on the day you pay.
- Reminders. We email you 30 days and 7 days before your renewal date, and again on the day.
- If a renewal isn’t paid. Your site stays online for 14 days after the renewal date. Then it’s paused: visitors see a page saying the site is paused. Nothing is deleted. You can still sign in, edit your site and pay, and paying brings it back straight away.
- Deleting a paused site. If a site stays paused for 180 days, we delete it and the files you uploaded, and its name becomes free for someone else. We email you twice before that happens.
- Sites that started before yearly plans. If you paid before we moved to yearly plans, what you paid covers your first year. Your first renewal is one year after your site started, and never sooner than 30 days after we turned renewals on.
- How to pay. Today you pay by international bank transfer, or with a voucher code if we gave you one. Card payments are coming soon. Any fees your bank or a middle bank charges for the transfer are yours to pay.
- Build first, pay to publish. You can build and preview your site for free. You pay when you want to publish it.
- Holding your name. While you haven’t paid, your chosen name is held for you for 72 hours. After that it stays yours until someone else claims it; if they do, you pick a new name before paying, and nothing you built is lost. Once you ask for our bank details, we hold the name for 7 days while the transfer arrives. Once you’ve paid, the name stays yours while your plan is active and while your site is paused, until the site is deleted.
- Unpaid sites. We keep an unpaid site for 21 days after sign-up (longer while a bank transfer you asked for is on its way). We email you before that time runs out. Then we delete the site and the files you uploaded. Until you pay, uploads are limited to 25 MB in total, pictures and CVs only.
- More sites. Once one of your sites is paid for and approved, you can book more addresses from your account, up to 5 in total. Each one has its own yearly plan: it’s paid for on its own, renews on its own date and doesn’t need review, but follows these terms like any other site.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Review before your site goes live#
A real person looks at every new site before it can be published. We may approve it, or reject it if it breaks these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or if we can’t safely host it. If we reject a new site, you get a full refund.
We may look at a site again later, for example if someone reports it.
Your content#
You own your content — your words, photos, videos, files and design choices. You’re responsible for it, and you confirm you have the right to publish it.
So that we can run your site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free permission to store, copy, show and send your content, and to change its format (for example resizing an image), only to host your site and provide Launchfolio. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
Sharing your site as a template. If you choose to offer your live site as a template and we approve it, you also let us show a copy of it — its text, pictures and design, but never your email, phone or CV — in our template gallery with a link back to your site, and let other people start their own site from a copy of it and change it. You can take it out of the gallery at any time; sites people already made from it keep their copy.
What you can’t publish#
Your site must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual content involving minors, impersonation, malware or phishing, spam, content you don’t have the rights to, or other people’s private information.
Your web address#
Your name at launchfolio.live is yours to use while your plan is active and while your site is paused, until the site is deleted. You can’t sell or transfer it. We may change or take back a name that impersonates someone, uses someone else’s trademark, or could mislead visitors. We’ll tell you first and help you pick another where we can.
When we can suspend or remove a site#
We may hide, suspend or remove a site or account if:
- it breaks these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy;
- the law, a court or an authority requires it;
- it puts visitors, other users or our service at risk.
Where it’s safe and lawful, we’ll email you first, explain why, and give you a chance to fix it. If we made a mistake, we’ll put things back.
What you keep, and for how long#
- While your plan is paid, your site stays online, your name is yours, and you can edit and publish as much as you like.
- If a renewal isn’t paid, your site stays online for 14 days, then it’s paused. While it’s paused we keep your name, your content and your files. You can sign in, edit and pay at any time, and paying brings your site back straight away.
- After 180 days paused, we delete the site and the files you uploaded, and the name can be taken by someone else.
This applies as long as Launchfolio operates and your account follows these terms. We don’t promise a fixed number of years. If we ever decide to close Launchfolio permanently, we’ll give you reasonable notice by email so you can save your content before it goes offline.
Availability#
We work to keep Launchfolio running smoothly, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may pause it briefly for maintenance. Please keep your own copies of anything important you upload.
Limit of our liability#
As far as the law allows:
- we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income, lost opportunities or lost data;
- our total responsibility to you for any claim about Launchfolio is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
If your content causes a claim#
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you published or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Ending your account#
- You can ask us to close your account and delete your site at any time by emailing hadiirshaid8722@gmail.com.
- We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
- Not renewing is also fine. You don’t need to tell us: if a renewal isn’t paid, your site is paused and later deleted, as “Price and payment” explains.
- When an account closes, its sites go offline and we delete their data as our Privacy Policy explains. Closing an account doesn’t refund the rest of a year you’ve paid for, except as our Refund Policy says.
Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Launchfolio after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of Palestine, and the courts of Palestine deal with any dispute. If you’re a consumer, you keep any rights the law where you live gives you that can’t be taken away by an agreement. Please talk to us first — most problems can be solved by email.
