Getting started
How Launchfolio works
From sign-in to a live portfolio: use Google, claim a name, build for free, then pay $30 for your first year to publish it.
Claim your name
Sign in first, then choose the address for your first Launchfolio site. Learn the name rules, what happens next, and when payment is needed.
Your account
Sign in and out
How to sign in to Launchfolio with Google or with your username or email and a password, what each message means, and how to sign out.
Your dashboard
After you sign in, your dashboard shows your site’s visits and messages, and a sidebar to edit content, change the design, read messages and change settings.
Choose your analytics preferences
Choose whether Launchfolio measures clicks and action outcomes, allow optional masked recordings, or withdraw consent in Analytics preferences.
Add another site
Book a second address on the same Launchfolio account: its own yearly plan, no review, up to 5 sites, and how to switch between them.
Building your site
Build your site
How the Launchfolio editor works: sections, adding photos, videos and your résumé, writing text, and how your changes save on their own.
Design your own layout
Use the Launchfolio Designer to arrange your page in rows and sections, drag your content in, add animations and publish a design.
Use a template on your site
Give your Launchfolio site a template’s layout and colours while keeping your own words, photos and sections. Pick one from the editor or the Designer.
Colours, language and privacy
Change your site’s colours for light and dark mode, choose the language visitors see, add a visitor password, and turn the contact form on or off.
Going live
Pay to publish
Build for free, then pay $30 for your first year when you publish, by card, bank transfer or voucher code. A real person reviews your site, usually within 1 business day.
Billing and renewals
Your site is a yearly plan: $30 the first year, then $15 a year. Reminders, paying early or late, what happens if you don’t renew, and the Billing tab.
Publish your site
Preview your draft, publish it for everyone, hide it again, and go back to an earlier version of your Launchfolio site.
Use your own domain
Show your Launchfolio site at a domain you own, like yourname.com: add the custom domain add-on, connect it, add the DNS records, and go live.
Notifications and new messages
The bell in your dashboard, editor and Designer tells you about new contact messages and your site’s approval. What we email you, and how to turn emails off.
Share your site as a template
Offer your live Launchfolio site to the template gallery, with a “Designed by” link back to you. What gets copied, the review, and how to take it out again.
