Publish your site
What you edit is a draft. Publishing copies it to your live site, the one visitors see.

Look at it first#
Press Preview (the eye at the top of your dashboard or the editor). Your draft opens in a new tab under a banner that says Preview — this is your draft. Visitors can’t see changes until you publish. Only you and the administrator can open it. It works before you pay, too.
Publish#
Press Publish at the top
It’s at the top of your dashboard and of the editor. Anything not saved yet is saved first.
You see Your portfolio is live!
Everyone with the link can now see your latest changes.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not published yet | Nobody can see your site yet. |
| Unpublished changes | Your site is live, but your newest edits aren’t on it yet. |
| Live | Visitors see exactly what you see. |
Publishing from the editor updates your content and keeps whichever layout is live. To publish a design, use Publish this design in the Designer.
Hide your site again#
Press Unpublish (hide my page)
The eye with a line through it, just before Publish at the top. On a phone or small screen it’s in More (⋯).
Confirm
Visitors see a “coming soon” page until you publish again. Your content stays safe in the editor.
Go back to an earlier version#
Every publish keeps a version of your whole site: your content, your design and which layout showed. Find them in Version history, in your dashboard’s sidebar (the Designer has the same list behind its clock button). Your first version is always kept, plus the 10 newest and the one that’s live.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Preview | See that version exactly as it went live. |
| Put this version live | Your site goes back to exactly that version: its content, design and layout. Your draft stays as it is. |
| Edit from here | Makes that version your draft, content and design, so you can change it. Your live site doesn’t change. |
| Rename and Delete | Give a version a name you’ll remember, or remove it. The live version can’t be deleted. |
