Emails go to the email address on your account. If your account has no email address, you only see the bell. The first four you can turn off, below.

Use the bell#

  1. Look at the bell at the top of your dashboard, the editor or the Designer

A green number on it shows how many are new.

  2. Press the bell

The list opens, newest first. New ones have a green dot. It shows your latest 30.

  3. Press one to open it

It’s marked as read and takes you to the right place. New message from opens Messages in your dashboard, for that site. The Open my messages button in the email does the same.

  4. Or press Mark all as read

The number on the bell goes away.

How quickly it shows up#

  • While your dashboard, the editor or the Designer is open, it checks every 30 seconds, and again as soon as you come back to its tab.
  • When something new arrives, a small note pops up in the corner. Press Open to go straight to it.
  • In the editor, a new message also adds to the number next to Messages in the menu, without reloading the page.

Choose which emails you get#

  1. Open Settings at the bottom of your dashboard’s sidebar, then the Emails tab

Or use the Choose which emails you get link at the bottom of a message or approval email.

  2. Turn off Send me emails to stop them all

The switches below grey out. Turn it back on and your choices below come back as they were.

  3. Or turn off just the ones you don’t want

New messages, Site approved, Payment received and Template offer answers.

  • Each switch saves as soon as you press it.
  • Your choice covers all your sites.
  • The bell still shows everything, whatever you turn off here.
